Wash less, wash gentler

Most ethnic wear doesn't need a wash after every wear. Spot-clean and air-out between wears to preserve fabric structure.

Storage matters

Heavy lehengas should be wrapped in muslin and stored flat. Sarees are best folded along different seams every few months to prevent permanent creasing.

The ironing rule

Always iron on the reverse, on the lowest heat that gets the job done. For embroidery, cover with a clean cotton cloth before pressing.

Hand wash cold. Always.
